2024 Sponsors & Venues

We want to thank all of the organizations and establishments that are supporting the endeavors of the Bigfoot Poetry Festival this year, whether by fiscal support, donating space for poetry to take place, offering our poets discounted rates, or donating goods.

Regional Arts & Culture Council Grant.

We are extremely grateful to the RACC board for awarding the Bigfoot Poetry Festival a grant of $4,000 for our 2024 season. This grant will go towards helping the festival cover venue rentals, purchase advertisements, print promotional material and festival brochures, and so much more.

Portland Events & Films.

We are so thankful to have been awarded $2,000 from the 2024 Community Grant Awards through Portland Events & Film and Prosper Portland. This grant will go towards helping the festival feed poets and volunteers, pay artists and collaborators, purchase equipment, and so much more!

1927 S’mores Company.

1927 S’mores Co. is gifting our poets and volunteers a tasty treat - a 10% discount on any purchases made at their establishment during the run of the festival!

Clyde Hotel Portland.

Along with acting as this year’s host hotel for our incoming poets and offering discounted rates, the Clyde Hotel (formally named the Ace Hotel) will be donating their lobby on Friday, June 14th, to host a Poetry Showcase, featuring a poet from every competing team.

Cosmic Monkey Comics.

Cosmic Monkey has gifted us a handful of awesome comics and graphic novels, all of which will be prizes at this year’s Nerd Poetry Slam on Friday, June 14.

Guilder Cafe.

Nestled on the first floor of the downtown Powell’s Books, we are happy to be returning to Guilder Cafe for our Welcome Open Mic the night of June 12th. Guilder is donating their space for this kick-off poetry event.

Literary Arts.

Always a safe haven to all things literary here in Portland, Literary Arts is donating their space for multiple events during all three days of our festival - a welcome space for poets, preliminary poetry slams, poetry open mics, a poetry market, and writing and performance workshops.

With its mission to engage readers, support writers, and inspire the next generation with great literature, Literary Arts is a safe haven to all things literary in Portland. They will be donating their space for multiple events during all three days of our festival - a welcome space for poets, preliminary poetry slams, poetry open mics, a poetry market, and writing and performance workshops.

Moxy.

Portland’s own Moxy will be our late night event space for this year’s festival. Not only that, but they will be the final destination of Bigfoot 2024 - the after party location for poets to celebrate and unwind after Finals Stage is through!

Multnomah County Central Library.

We are ecstatic to be returning to the Multnomah Central Library after a break in 2023 as they renovated their entire building. Now back and more gorgeous than ever, the Central Library will be donating space and will be hosting poetry open mics for all three days of the festival.

Oven and Shaker PDX.

This beloved Portland restaurant is offering our poets & volunteers at 15% discount during the run of the festival.

Powell’s Books.

Powell’s Books will again be donating space to Bigfoot for our poetry slam tournament. The first night of the competition will see two slams take place on Powell’s top floor. Powell’s is also donating a $50 giftcard to the winner of the Youth Poetry Slam on Saturday, June 15th.

Stumptown Coffee.

It isn’t Portland without some coffee - so we’re in luck that Stumptown is partnering with us for a second year in a row! They’re donating coffee to us on June 15th, which will be hosted at our Literary Arts space.

Tasteecat Comics.

We are so grateful to local comic shop, Tasteecat Comics, who are sponsoring the welcome party for our registered poets by buying enough pizza to feed our hungry (for competition and food!) artists.

The First Congregational United Church of Christ.

We are back at the First Congregational United Church of Christ for a third time. Catch the Bigfoot Poetry Festival’s 2024 Finals Stage at UCC the evening of Saturday, June 15th - where the top teams will be competing to find out who’ll be taking home first this year!

The Woodlark Hotel.

We’ll be hosting poetry open mics and workshops in the Woodlark Hotel’s Grove meeting room for the first two days of the festival this year. Come on through for some poems, as well as some complimentary coffee or tea!

Yoga on Yamhill.

Local studio Yoga on Yamhill is lending us 15 mats for our Thursday morning yoga and guided meditation event. We are so grateful for them helping us out in the last minute - if you are a Portlander and in need of a new yoga studio to frequent, check them out!!
